The Funky Monkeys are a high-energy band available in flexible lineups to suit any event. From a tight trio featuring both male and female vocalists with a guitarist, to a full 6-piece band adding extra instruments for a richer, funkier sound, they bring the party wherever they go.
With a vibrant mix of hits and a fun, feel-good vibe, The Funky Monkeys are perfect for getting everyone on the dance floor.
Front Girl Mandy and Front Man Jeg with seasoned vocals, dance moves and attitude, bring you the full entertainment package. The lead guitar carves up solos from classic rock to funky disco hits. The solid beat of the rhythm section keep these guys pumping all night.
For a bit of “monkeying around” you’ll be sure to hear a taste of Footloose, I’m A Believer and Shake Your Tailfeather and some party tunes from Abba, Rocky Horror and Grease. Funky Monkeys also have a Super Hits of the 70’s and 80’s show. Fully costumed. They can also provide dinner music and cover many themes including 1920’s Great Gatsby.
Funky Monkeys have entertained and performed at corporate events to family festivals, clubs and showrooms all over the country. Other career highlights include travelling out to the Mines in Emerald and Mt Isa to perform for the families, supporting Brisbane Flood victims at Brisbane Convention Centre. Funky Monkeys are also a favourite of the High Rollers at Star Casino. Other clients include Brisbane Lions, Marsh Pty Ltd, Rio Tinto, Masters Games, Qld Gas Co., ACT for Kids to name a few. Public performances include Steam Punk, Twin Towns, Clubs and Bars all over the great South East. Funky Monkeys have performed Long Table Dinners at Shorncliffe Pier, private weddings and parties for all occasions and ages.
